Mental Health First Aid. 1-Day course.

Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition, whether themselves or a family member, friend, or colleague. This FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health is suitable for everyone, with a focus on helping employers create a positive mental health culture in the workplace. It provides learners with comprehensive knowledge on common mental health conditions and equips them with the skills to respond effectively if a condition is suspected.

Learners who complete this course will be recognized as First Aiders for Mental Health and can serve as a point of contact within the workplace to support colleagues with suspected mental health conditions. Building on the Level 1/4 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health, this course introduces the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, which allows learners to guide their peers and provide support while signposting them to professional help. Additionally, the course covers the effects of drugs and alcohol and teaches learners how to assist employers in fostering a positive mental health culture to support employees in the workplace.
